    The Asia Literary Agency was launched in March 2013 and represents Asian authors, experts on Asia and writers living in the region. Founder Kelly Falconer was an editor of fiction and non-fiction books for eleven years prior, mainly in London, latterly in Hong Kong, where the agency is based. Rights are sold to the UK, the USA and to the rest of the world. Our first books published include Tew Bunnag's CURTAIN OF RAIN (River Books and Metropoli d'Asia) and Michael Buckley's MELTDOWN IN TIBET (Palgrave Macmillan). We have a fine roster of books in the pipeline: Tim Fitts's THE SOJU CLUB (Open Books, Korea); Han Yujoo's THE IMPOSSIBLE FAIRY TALE (Graywolf); Hyeonseo Lee's THE GIRL WITH SEVEN NAMES (HarperCollins US/UK, and in 14 other languages by publishers around the world); Leza Lowitz's UP FROM THE SEA (Penguin/RH/Crown Books for Young Readers); Charles Lau's 100-POUND GANGSTER (Typhoon Media/Signal 8 Press); and ko ko thett's poetry collection, THE BURDEN OF BEING BURMESE (Zephyr).

    The Grayhawk Agency first started representing Chinese language writers in 2009, quickly signing up some of mainland China's most critically and commercially successful authors, such as Zhang Ling, Mai Jia, Chi Zijian, Fan Wen, Lu Min etc. So far, the agency has sold rights to their novels (such as GOLD MOUTAIN BLUES, DECODED, THE LAST QUARTER OF THE MOON and UNDER THE HAWTHORN TREE, in over twenty different languages. In 2011, The Grayhawk Agency signed up its first Taiwanese author, Wu Ming-Yi, and has so far sold translation rights for his eco-fantasy novel THE MAN WITH THE COMPOUND EYES to the UK, US and France. This is the first time a Taiwanese author has been represented by an agent internationally. With extensive expertise in both the Chinese and international markets, the agency has established unrivalled links with publishers, agencies and translators and continues to look for exciting books to introduce to a new readership abroad.

    The PaiSha Agency, established in June 2017, is a young team of two people, Kim Pai and Kailin Wang. Founder Kim Pai started working as a literary agent since 2013 and was one of the Frankfurt Book Fair Fellows of 2016. The Agency aims to introduce great European and English titles to the clients in Chinese territories and also to promote the Chinese titles to the foreign publishers.
