After completing a PhD in astronomy from the University of Virginia, Chou Mei-Yin returned to Taiwan to join Academia Sinica Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics (ASIAA) where she conducts research into star formation and the structure of the Milky Way galaxy and serves as an educational outreach scientist.
