THE SOUND OF COLORS

THE SOUND OF COLORS

地下鐵

That year, she is gradually going blind. On her fifteenth birthday, she feeds the cat, then at 6:05 she enters the subway. The subway links all the various parts of the city, carrying passengers as they meet and part ways. Going in, coming out, in completely different places, experiencing different scenery, desires and dreams. Who knows what might be waiting at the other end?

The book is inspired by the author’s experiences riding the subway in Tokyo and New York many years ago. The underground scenes, as well as the varied surroundings outside each station had a profound impression on Jimmy Liao. As the protagonist wanders through the subway tunnels beneath the big city, she uses her imagination to bring all kinds of incredible scenes to life. Fed up with the hustle and bustle of the city, and feeling disorientated on a crowded train? Close your eyes and go on an imaginary journey!
