Emmanuelle Péchenart

A graduate of INALCO (Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales) and holder of a doctorate in language sciences from EHESS (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales), Emmanuelle Péchenart has been translating Chinese-language literature since the 1980s, including modern and contemporary novels and poetry from China, Taiwan and the diaspora. For a time research assistant on the history of the Chinese City at the Institut Français d'Architecture, she occasionally joins the works of the Observatoire de l'Architecture de la Chine contemporaine (Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine - Paris). She participates in various training or exchanges international programs about translation.
