At the age of 18, Hsu Chieh made it his goal to photograph the unique character of all of Taiwan’s 368 townships, creating an authentic high-resolution portrait of Taiwan that he could share with the world. By pairing his photographs with travel writing, Hsu Chieh has authored a handful of thematically oriented travel books that explore Taiwan’s railways, outlying islands, and local cuisine, among other subjects.
