Lu-pin was born in Taipei in 1970. Still active in the field of graphic design, she earned a bachelor’s degree in visual communication from the Académie Charpentier in France and a master’s degree in graphic and multimedia design from Université Laval in Canada. As a writer, she frequently draws on her abundant experiences living in foreign places as a source of inspiration for her poems and short fiction. Her publications include a collection of poetry titled Wandering Wall and two short story collections –The Left-hand Land and Sugar Bun Island. She currently lives in Canada.
