Coraline Jortay

Coraline Jortay is a Chinese-to-French literary translator, who specializes in poetry and fiction by writers from Taiwan (Kan Yao-ming, Tong Wei-ger, Sabrina Huang…) and Hong Kong (Dorothy Tse, Xi Xi…), with recent translations in Jentayu, Lettres de Malaisie, and Graminées. She won second and third prize of the 2013 China International Translation Contest. Her book-length translations and projects include Walis Nokan’s Les Sentiers des rêves (Asiathèque, 2018) and Hong Kong (Jentayu, 2022), an anthology she co-edited with Gwennaël Gaffric. When not translating, she can be found writing about Sinophone literary history as a CNRS Research Fellow in Paris.
