Tim is originally from a small town in the eastern part of North Carolina in the USA. He holds a master’s degree from NTNU’s Graduate Institute of Translation and Interpretation Studies. His interests include cultural works and topics by Taiwanese Indigenous authors, Taiwanese Hokkien literature, and exploring different facets of Taiwan’s multicultural society. He’s an avid horror fan and loves goosebumps-inducing ghost stories and thrillers. Apart from Mandarin and Taiwanese Hokkien, Tim also knows a decent deal of Japanese and is currently learning Sixian-dialect Hakka and Atayal. His translations have appeared in Books from Taiwan’s samples, Taipei PEN, and other literary magazines. A couple historical novel translations of his are forthcoming.
