    China Times Publishing Company, established in 1975, is one of the leading publishing houses in Taiwan, and it became the first and only publishing house with an IPO in Taiwan in 1999. China Times Publishing is dedicated to introducing distinguished authors and writings to readers and to preserving knowledge and culture for the future generations. 

    Over the past forty-two years, China Times Publishing has published over 6,000 titles of fiction and nonfiction books. Today, it publishes approximately 400 new titles annually, covering a wide range of genres: Literary and Upmarket Fiction, Business & Finance, Current Affairs, Social Science, History, Biography, Popular Science, Self-Help, Health & Fitness, Spirituality & Religion, Travel, Lifestyle, Children books and so on.     The history of Crown Culture Corporation dates back to February 22, 1954 when Mr Ping Shin-Tao started his business with Crown Magazine. With time, the Crown Culture Corporation has expanded with the establishment of imprints, including Crown Publishing Co. (fiction), Ping’s Publications (non-fiction), Paperback Publishing Co. (books for teenagers, including fiction and non-fiction), Ping’s Recordings, the Crown website, the Crown bookshop, and Dance Forum Taipei. The company has extended into the area of film, television, music, setting up gallery, theatre and dance spaces. In the last 20 years, Crown has developed its overseas markets and set up subsidiary offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia, exerting more influence among Chinese-speakers abroad than any other Taiwanese publisher.
