Wei Zhong-Cheng first became known in 2009 when he published the satirical comic The Coming of Emperor Ma. Using the Hong Kong-style to parody the competition between the former president Chen Shui-Bian and his successor Ma Ying-Jeou, this comic made the number one bestselling comic for that year.
In both his satirical comics and the ongoing Record of the Dark Wars, Wei mixes Hong Kong and Japanese manga styles. He has also managed the social media website Comic Madness (http://www.weicomic.com/) for the last fifteen years.
